01Roll Anime to Fight Merge Math: Duplicate Costs and Power CurveUnderstand binary merge material growth, the community's Level 2 and Level 3 anchors, and how to use the Merge Planner without overstating estimates.mechanic

Questions players ask

How many base units do I need for Level 4?

Eight for the standard binary merge (2^(4-1) = 8). Level 5 needs 16 and Level 10 needs 512.

Does the merge planner cover tri-merge?

Yes. The tri-merge toggle uses 3^(L-1) instead of 2^(L-1) and warns if the unit is not flagged for tri-merge in your scenario.

Are the level 2 and level 3 numbers official?

They are community-reported anchors from the independent merge guide. The Merge Planner fits a polynomial to those anchors and labels the extrapolation as a community estimate.
